A Pearl of Life: A Dedication to the Broken Family

A pearl of life in my hand
From here of which I stand
I see it all, and all is true
A childs face, so sad, so blue.

Heartbreak comes, heartbreak goes
Mother cries, but only shows
A quarter of what burns inside
Of sadness, anger; an emotional tide.

Do you know, no, do you care
Of all the years of abuse they'd share?
In this closed group, called Anonymous Mothers
Who brutally got abused by their lovers.

And from here, of which I stand
I hold a pearl, a child, hand in hand
I see it all, and all is true;
Two broken eyes, so sad, so blue.

Reema - Great Blog. The poetry is beautiful... but it did not cheer me up! Reading this one reminded me too much of Alex and what we are going through. Brought a grown man to tears - again. Happening a lot this weekend.

Visit Alex web site today and discover the true, heart warming story of faith and prayers. Read how this young Ethiopian street child is being rescued from a certain death on the streets of Addis Ababa. DISCOVER THE REAL LIFE STORY OF HOPE AND SUCCESS FOR ALEX Link to us today and follow the progress as Alex adjusts to the safe world in Europe where he will hopefully soon get a good education and health. http://alex-roadtofreedom.blogspot.com

Hi there Rod. Thank you so much for your kind words, it's always a pleasure to know my readers appreciate my blog.

Yes, I guess sometimes beautiful poetry cannot always cheer people up. In this particular poetry I tried to paint a picture of the hard-barking reality of emotions that happens around the time of divorce, and how family abuse affect the children much more than anyone else. I think, a side of reality we need to give more attention to; in fact, this happens every day.

As for [http://alex-roadtofreedom.blogspot.com] I have already linked to you on my page (check my link list). All my prayers and well wishes are with you and Alex. All the best,

Reema :)
